I wrote this song initially with the first half of the song being instrumental; I envisioned a guitar solo toward the end of the first half. But then Karin said she heard a melody over the top, and so I said she should record it. I liked it, and this became the final draft of the song. :)
lyrics
There is no winning
This is no race
And I'll find deep inside you
There once was hope
That this journey has an end
Every day you try to find it
That long lost part of your life that you've been missing
Every day you fight for it
I'll never know what it is that you've been missing
Every day we strive to finally feel that we are okay
That we're worth something after all
And I'll never find just what you've found
And I'll never know what it is you know
And I'll never find just what you've found
And you'll never find what it is I found
